The Royal Parks Foundation Education Centre
The Lookout, which has just been completed, is everything we could have hoped for. David Morley Architects has been tremendous at working up the brief (including budget); at designing and value engineering in accordance with the brief; and at resolving calmly, intelligently and very promptly any issues that arose in the course of the project.”
The Royal Parks Foundation Education Centre is an education centre situated at the Look Out in the heart of London’s Hyde Park.
With an internal area of approximately 390sqm, the new Education Centre will offer environmental education classes all year round, and will enable The Royal Parks to teach 2000 children on site each year. It also provides offices for the Royal Parks Foundation and Education teams.
Outside the Education Centre a nature walkway has been created with butterfly gardens, sensory areas, shrubberies and pond-dipping, encouraging children to explore and experience a range of natural habitats supporting many different kinds of wildlife.
