Rayan joined DMA June 2019, shortly after graduating with a distinction in a Masters in Architecture at the University of Greenwich.
For her Part 1 experience Rayan worked at Helix Architecture where she worked on a wide range of projects including residential complexes in Chelsea and Marylebone. Currently, she is working to develop a new-build, three-form entry primary school and a residential development in West London.
Rayan is also fluent in Arabic and enjoys reading contemporary Arabic literature. She is currently holding a solo exhibition of her most recent university project ‘A Magic Realist Afrabia’ at the P21 Gallery here in London. The project is based on Church Street's dynamic ethnic enclave and its infamous Alfies antiques store. Through this project, Rayan explores the potential of 21st century magic realism in art and design.
