Chris Roberts and Jide Awosika present at BIM for Historic Industrial Buildings Event
Chris Roberts and Jide Awosika are set to speak at a training day covering how BIM is being used in the historic environment on Thursday 3 July 2014 to around 30 delegates in Pendle, Lancashire.
The full day event will understand how BIM can be used in a heritage context and the deliverables that can be extracted from a BIM model. The day will also focus on the Brierfield Mill redevelopment, a stunning project to bring the mill back into use and restore it to become a much loved focal point in the borough of Pendle.
The Master Plan has been prepared by David Morley Architects in partnership with Pearl 2, a joint venture with Pendle Council and Barnfield Investment Properties. The proposals are also being developed in consultation with English Heritage. Through a structured process of dialogue and communication, using techniques such as BIM, the Brierfield Mill Master Plan will provide a pivotal case study for future mill regeneration with an emphasis on environmental as well as social and economic sustainability.
